The Limey Way - 40 miles
John Merrill's classic walk down the Peak District limestone dales from Castleton to Thorpe. A challenge to do in a day! 24 hour and 48 hour badges and certificates.
Now celebrating its 53rd. anniversary.
Congratulations to Lee Partington of Melbourne, Derbyshire who on June 30th/July 1st 2021 walked the whole route within 48 hours. "I found the route book really useful". Well done to him.
Congratulations to Tracey Hollowood and Chris Dimelow who have walked the route 5 times. The last time was on June 22nd. 2019 when they did it in less than 19 hours - 4.50am to 11.30pm. "We had the best day .... weather was fantastic and the whole walk was a complete joy .... well at least until the last 2 miles! They raised £550.00 for Alzheimer's Research. Many, many congratulations to them.
August 4th. 2019 - Congratulations to Marianne Heading and Edwina Edwards of Ashover, Derbyshire who completed the 40 mile walk in 11 hours 45 mins. A great time and well done!
